Found this nice program in the morning -- posting an image to show you what I've found.
Basic functionality -- you can jump, but not spin -- there are no green [!] boxes to detonate all Nitro boxes within a level, but you can create some decent levels similar to the bonus levels of the early Crash Bandicoot games.

: for the record, I am also aware of a Crash Bandicoot game engine (open source) that's lying around, but in order to make it, you have to use Game Maker 7/8. I might come up with a tutorial later down the line so we can actually collaborate or something if I figure it out.
