In the process of warming up, I realized that while I normally keep my hands rested while I play, I can actually play with my hands raised. While warming up, I played Rondo Alla Turka (from the Dump Collection Megapack) with my hands propped up and AAA'd more than 900 in, which shocked the shit out of me. Went back to this and it was no contest, took me only three runs to score the 1-0-0-0, and then 5 more to get the AAA.

EDIT: just realized that my explorer window pointing to an "lol.swf"; it was selected beforehand -- here's proof that I was using the keysmash engine:

It's actually probably AAAable by me, so you probably can too. I find Velocity's engine easier to play on now, though, the scroll rate on the old engine looks a bit funny, so probably not for this tourney lol.

Chillin in the hospital now with the IV in my left arm, getting small doses of morphine every 4 hours for my back. It's not necessarily comfortable to play with the IV but I'm also extremely tired [slept probably a total of 3 hours last night]. The nurses are super nice, I love this hospital :3 only place I'd trust for my baby to be born.

They can't give me a time that I'll be discharged because they will be monitoring me 24/7 on my progress but as soon as I know a date of when I'm released I'll let you know. I'll try to play some tomorrow too when I'm not zonked out and exhausted XD

Let me explain the science behind those surprising rolls. I assume you use DDReam.

Instead of keeping the BPM constant and stepping the speedup sections with 192nd, I said, F this and placed the beats so that every sound was its own beat. Ergo, sounds get quicker, BPM gets quicker, arrows get quicker, sync is perfect, AAA is hard, and judges like the novelty... It was also the easiest way for me to step it. huh.

It still would have made more sense to use I think it's called color theory, but don't quote me.

But that's not the part that upsets me it's after the rolls that it just gets stupid hard imo.

So another update, just a little one;

I may get released tomorrow some time in the afternoon or evening. I've tried playing FFR but I can't play any songs above 8's, otherwise it puts a lot of strain on my left arm or it hurts my eyes really bad. If I do get released tomorrow then I should be able to post an improvement for round 4 and get round 5 in on time so let's hope :]

Yea the round will prob be extended a day. I got busy with some stuff and a lot of people have been sick and such lately so I think an extra day would be good for almost all of us.
