Well, as far as what has been said, yes, body modifications have no bearing on the moral standard of your parenting, nor the quality of influence you are bestowing upon them.
My daughter had her ears pierced. But as for piercings and tattoos. There are laws in place that control the suitable age for these, and I, as a mature role model will uphold her to these standards of society.
I think it was mainly a sexist attack, as a lot of women I have met believe that fathers aren't a necessity in a childs life. Hell, my dads 2nd wife hates me for the sole reason that she believes "a mother should get custody of the child no matter what...".
I don't think it is fair to judge someone for the basis of appearance.... to a point.
For example. If you are wandering the streets barefoot with a clearly unhappy and dirty child. I will probably pass judgement on the quality of your ability to raise a child responsibly.

Well, yeah. Considering that i've fought tooth and nail to support her. And the fact that she wants for nothing, shit, i've had the cash to buy my new guitar so I can record my album 3 times in the last year and I always end up spending it on her :c
She always comes first, and whether anyone else acknowledges this is irrelevant

I can see where you are coming from Sara, but I have to disagree with you there.
I have a friend where I was living that has taught their kid to swear and thinks it is hilarious, another person I know has a son that they beat on for the slightest word out of line or anything they see fit.
These people should be told a thing or two about parenting, not a person like myself who has a visible piercing or two.
I could ramble on about this for a while, but i'm fairly intrigued on everyones perspective of this issue.
