Ahh...
But seriously, if you can get the bursts, then you can get the rest.
Mindblocks? Here's what I do: forget the arrows. Make it spontaneous and unpracticed. I find that when I memorize sections, I get too anxious and hit keys too early, or too confident and play at my own tempo instead of the music. To dissolve mindblocks, I don't memorize what I should do--I try to react to the arrows as though I'd never seen them before. Once I get it right, then I focus on keeping it right. When I have problems, I relax and start clean. (On the flipside, I do memorize sections that are too fast to read.)
Try to confuse yourself--play at a different speed, play other songs before touching it, move the browser window, turn on "Left" for a while, etc etc. Then when you're ready to play it for real, put it back on your favorite setting. If you're still having problems, take a break for an hour and come back.

@ gazelle:
Right-click and select "Zoom In". If that's too big, you can adjust it by sizing your browser window.

Updated! One more hour to submit your scores! Cmon D3 and D4... only one person combined has submitted their score :/ That's less than D1's submission rate D:

Hey Iironiic and Pmon, i'm sorry i haven't submitted any scores for the rounds. I've been busy trying to get ready for college (I'm leaving to do to my dorm tomorrow). If it's to late for me to submit my songs (whenever i can play ffr) then you can just take me out of the turney. Sorry for the inconvenience, i just didn't think it would take this long to get packed and everything.

Yeah, my first attempts are often the best... I never really memorize but I have exactly the same problem. I try to play at faster speed and 11-12s before and it usually helps. I'll try to use the other tips you gave me Razz Thanks a lot!

Hey it's fine! Because you did participate in the tournament, I will not let you quit (unless you are sure you will not have any time to submit your scores) because I don't want you to play the songs for no reason, especially at the end of the tournament. If you want, we could extend your deadline to the end of the tournament because I know how stressful packing is for college. On that note, I need to start doing that asap Razz

"Hmm, this round, I'm going to listen to the other songs."
"D1 is a classic! I almost stepped that song myself, until I realized FFR already had a chart."
"D2 is cool. I've never played it before--good to know there's another jack chart around."
"D3's song I first learned from the 'Post Your FFR Scores' thread. Instant favorite."
"D4... oh, 'Club' not 'The Club'. I love the layering in this chart."
"D5 reminds me of In The Groove... good times, good times..."
"D6 has my deepest sympathies. I'm sorrowful that you have to listen to that. Venetian Snares scares me."

One pattern is unreadable. Will practice.

Okay guys, well I told you I would finish these songs tonight and here you go lol

Honestly, I am not the D5 player I was before, these scores are HORRID compared to my previous ... but I'll start with D4 songs first

{Midnight}

Balloon Fever

World Tour 2004

Toxiferous Dystopia

Club

Okay, now there are the scores for that division. You would say "Hey not bad at all for D4 player..." Well, 14 goods on TD is bad for me considering my best is 2 goods >.> and world tour SDG to my BF and yeah not to bad i will say...

Now for D5's songs.....

Manny To The Rescue

Big Blue

Blue Rose

Destination Helios

Hardkore Atomic

There you go guys. Have fun Smile

Way to lie Matt about the jacking round destroying your chances for first place Razz

Frankie, we have decided to place you in D5 Smile Even though you claim that you have a skill drop, I'm sure you are still competitive enough to be in D5 Smile (Everyone but Matt -.-Wink

And updated!

Absolutely the best I can do.
It's all intro until the 32nd scales, which is just intro to the 5 jumps of death. After that, I just need to not mess up.
...1 1 - 1 2 [43] [32] [21] [14] [14] - 3 3 [31]
My best is one boo, and then I messed up. Cheers!
